A little bit about me…
From an early age, I have always had a passion for supporting others to overcome obstacles and achieve their potential. I studied a Bachelor of Social Work and for the past ten years I have been privileged to engage with children, young people and families in a variety of roles.
A few years ago I started to feel like there was a big part of the picture that social work wasn’t addressing. Social work seemed to have too narrow a focus to truly address the underlying issues that I was seeing in my clients. I have always had a keen interest in holistic approaches to health and wellbeing, so it seemed natural for me to look to complementary therapies as a way to bridge the gap I was seeing in my practice. At that time I had been completing my Reiki master studies and was enjoying sharing this with my friends and family. However, there was still a dimension of health and wellbeing that I was yet to tap into.
In 2015, I embarked on my journey to become a kinesiologist. This modality beautifully brings together the knowledge I have developed through my social work career, such as my counselling skills and my deep understanding of the issues that clients experience, with my love for a holistic approach to wellbeing.
I feel truly grateful to share kinesiology with my clients, and love constantly learning new approaches to include in my practice.
